Smart roof management: green roofs with roof sensors at Stadgenoot
"The sensors on green roofs add an important element. Namely, they help us monitor better. Sensors can detect leaks early and indicate exactly where those leaks are. This makes roof maintenance more targeted and efficient. In addition, we collect data that allows us to monitor the performance of the roof at any time. This gives us better insight into the condition and risks of the roof and we can intervene before problems arise. For example, we can knock on a resident's door even before a leak and subsequent consequential damage occurs because the data gives us early warning. This makes it possible to maintain our roofs better and better in an increasingly difficult to access downtown."
