BouwLab tests biobased Roof of the Future
The Roof of the Future. Under that promising heading, BouwLab R&Do is testing various biobased insulations and roof coverings on the roof of its experience center in Haarlem. These include mycelium insulation boards, as well as sedum roofing with sensor-controlled irrigation. Project partners are housing corporation De Alliantie and roofing company Patina Dakdenkers. They are using the test results to make the best possible use of these types of roof systems and the biobased renovation of De Alliantie's existing homes.
